FAQ
Q. What is the replica made of?
A. Replicas are cast with either a strong die stone or USG statuary plaster.
These materials are resistant to chipping and possess high compression strengths.
Q. Is the model breakable?
A. As with any garden ornament made of gypsum, plaster or ceramic, it will break if
dropped.
Q. Are the toes fragile?
A. The feet of the type 1 replica is thickened to provide support
and reinforcement to the toes. This thickened area can be concealed by slightly submerging it into the earth and
brushing soil or sand between its toes. The type 2 replica is a single piece casting which depicts the lizard resting
on a flat stone.
Q. Does the underside of the replica look realistic?
A. No effort was made to have the underside look realistic. The
replica serves as an illusion to be viewed from an elevated angle.
Q. What can I do to help preserve its appearance?
A. In general, the model should be kept reasonably dry. Excessive moisture should be avoided. It is not harmed by normal sprinkler irrigation or rain. However, it should be allowed to dry off between irrigation cycles. The model may be damaged if allowed to stand or be submerged in water for extended periods of time.
